About us and how we test

Real Hookup Websites is an independent review site for adults. We test casual and adult dating sites the way a real user would, then publish what we find, including the parts the sites would rather we left out. Our reviews are written by The RHW test desk.

Our testing process

We sign up with fresh accounts, use the free tier first and then pay for a membership. We check member activity in several US cities and towns, sample profiles for fakes, compare the checkout price with the published price list, test cancellation and look at privacy tools. The scoring weights are explained in the methodology section on our home page.

Independence

We earn commissions when readers join a site through our links (see our affiliate disclosure). Commission never changes a score. Sites that fail our billing or fake-profile checks are not listed, whatever they pay.

Prices and features change. If you spot something out of date, email hello@realhookupwebsites.com and we will re-check it.
